This document provides step-by-step guidance on compiling IWAs. It is written for everyone who would like to start working with IWAs for their organisation.

While this document provides practical guidance when compiling IWAs, it is also necessary to understand the formal definitions, principles and requirements underlying IWAs. We therefore recommend to also
also read the Conceptual Framework and the IWAF itself to familiarise with the general concepts.

This guidance document helps to understand each step and stage of an IWA project.

Incubating the Impact-Weighted Accounts Framework

The Impact-Weighted Accounts Framework is incubated by the Impact Economy Foundation (IEF) together with thought leaders and leading practitioners in an inclusive and scientific manner. IWAF is in partnership with the Impact-Weighted Accounts Initiative from Harvard Business School, Singapore Management University, Rotterdam School of Management, and Impact Institute.
